Need a better world? Voice it out

I came across Dropping Knowledge, which basically is a new movement to (hopefully) improve the world we live in by collecting questions about current issues from contributors around the globe. Simply put, these questions will be analysed and finally be taken into effect by NGOs, social-loving companies, etc. Its also comforting that these collected questions will be treated as open source and public owned (freely available to all for all time). They also allow downloads of copyleft media (commercials, films, ads).

I’m always up for initiatives like this; a ‘from the people, to the people’ approach. I do hope this becomes a successfull project as the world is horribly ill right now. The only concern is, collecting questions is one thing, but the execution to answer those questions is another. As many NGOs and companies get involved later on, it’s not too difficult to imagine manipulation taking place to suit one’s own interest. Or even worse, people with power who’ve already written theworld’s ‘to-do list’ for generations to come, will find means to cut things off, should it come in his way.

As far as as the website is concerned, it does talk about the Living Library, but it doesn’t mentioned when it will be in use, or even let the audience test/view a small glimpse of it. In the near future I hope. Also, I find that there’s something wrong with the logging (authentication) mechanism of the website. Even after logging in, and I click to the Review Questions link, it suddenly sees me as not-logged-in for some reason. Off course I wanted to review some questions, but after trying a few times without luck, I just gave up and moved on.
