Its a wonderful thing waking up in the morning. Our brains are dormant. We have mystifying yawns. After that cup of coffee, we start with life, make a living, watch the news, shop at the hypermarket. We try our best to lay food on the table and keep the Volvo tank full. Some of us over the years have become complicated, sophisticated, modern, and vibrant. But we forget. We forget that some best things in life are simple. We forget the joyful, honost and cheerful child we once were. We forget that the most humanly moment in our day is probably those first 10 minutes, early in the morning, when we are dormant.
The Paddy Museum, located at the foot of Gunung Keriang, lies some eight kilometres from Alor Star, the capital of Kedah. It is the first paddy museum in Malaysia, and the fourth to be opened in the world after Japan, Germany and the Philippines.
